Cologne´s art scene has a long tradition of community engagement. Still today, it has an active and engaged art community, boasting of a variety of art-projects, several international art-fairs and galleries, and there are great museums with impressive national and international exhibitions. CAT would like to bring the past and present historical structures of cologne into an international dialogue with foreign artists. Projects by the ´Community Art Team´ help to create new vibes and give new perspectives on the art community.

Innerhalb der internationalen Kunstszene steht Köln in einer langen Tradition. Heute verfügt Köln über eine aktive und engagierte Kunstszene. CAT sieht durch diese Initiative eine Chance, alte Strukturen und die Vernetzung mit der lokalen Kunstszene zu nutzen, um neue Impulse, von innen und von außen, neue Perspektiven und Aspekte fürdas gesellschaftliche Umfeld in Köln zu gewinnen. Durch den küntlerischen Dialog und Austausch soll eine stärkere Beteiligung am internationalen Kunstgeschehen gefördert werden.

CALL FOR ARTISTS

CAT (Community Art Team) invites you to submit a project for a working grant in Cologne, Germany. The project should incorporate the local community and take place for approx. 4 weeks between July and October. We support you with a small working grant, accommodation and a publication.
